£8.50

Pick-up available from our Knitting Workshop at

The Superfine range of these alpaca yarns has a gorgeous soft handle with good loft that knits up beautifully. It's a proven blend that offers increased resistance to shedding and pilling and adds loft and substance to the yarn.

The yarns are 75% British superfine alpaca blended with 25% wool.

UK Alpaca produces alpaca yarns made from the fleeces of alpacas farmed in Britain and Ireland. One of the noble fibres, alpaca is softer, more luxurious, stronger and more resilient than the finest sheep wool.

UK Alpaca is a family business run by Chas Brooke and Rachel Hebditch from their farm in Devon. They have 100 pedigree alpacas on farm and buy fleece clips from over 120 other alpaca farms in the UK. The fleece is hand graded and classed on their farm before being sent for processing to their yarn specifications in and around the Yorkshire Area.

Care:
For best results hand wash in lukewarm water and a specialist wool detergent. Hair conditioner in the final rinse will add extra softness. When washing and rinsing squeeze the garment rather than rubbing. Gently squeeze out excess water before rolling in a towel. Re-shape and lay flat to dry. Modern machines with a delicate wash cycle can also be used if item is placed inside a bag. Select 20-30degC and spin at 400 rpm.
