Pam Allen’s book is a continuation of Plain & Simple: 11 Knits to Wear Every Day and builds on simple silhouettes, cables, and colourwork techniques introduced in that book. Here you’ll find Bohus-inspired colourwork motifs, a tailored peplum jacket, a dress with textural lace in the bodice, an allover cable pullover, and much more. So much to discover in this book!

A lot of the patterns in this book were designed for Quince & Co’s Owl yarn – squishy, loft,  plump blend of wool and alpaca.

Pam Allen knitted her first sweater in high school: a stockinette stitch pullover with a crew neck. Somehow she survived the experience and has gone on to knit many more, learning something new about knitting each time. She is the author of several books, was editor of Interweave Knits from 2003-2007, and worked as creative director at Classic Elite Yarns, before launching Quince & Company in 2010. She lives in Portland, Maine.
