Laine 23 Borealis showcases eleven beautiful knitting patterns as well as interesting articles from the world of fibre.

Laine is an international knit and lifestyle magazine. Laine 23, Borealis, takes you to the snowy countryside on one of the coldest days of the year. The warm, cosy and beautiful knits include many winter wardrobe staples, such as an all-over colourwork sweater, a cabled hat and a chunky, textured cardigan. The serene stillness captured in this edition’s photography soothes your mind and senses.

It features knits with elaborate and beautiful textures. Kaori Katsurada’s Cinnamon Twists raglan sweater is worked in a combination of twisted stitches and cables, while Sara Ottosson’s Brick Road scarf features slipped stitches creating diagonal lines on top of a garter-stitch base.

In this issue, we meet Liza Lewis, whose stunning colourwork sweater Dazzler is her first-ever published pattern! Liza is a designer/illustrator whose work includes children’s books, for example.
